Decision boundary

This guide decides: which commercial, technical, document and packing fields make supplier returns comparable.

This guide does not decide: stock, price, lead time, container quantity, compliance or project suitability before supplier confirmation.

Issue a unit and component schedule.

List each unit mark, dimensions, quantity, cells, diaphragms, lids, mesh, wire roles, coating and connections. Separate cage supply from fill, filters, foundations, drainage, anchors, installation and design.

Normalize packing and delivery data.

Request folded-unit or panel bundle quantities, accessory packing, marks, dimensions, gross/net mass, handling limits, protection, destination, Incoterm and delivery sequence. Container capacity remains unconfirmed until exact approved packing data is returned.

Tie documents to the offer and shipment.

Request drawings, material/coating records, inspection or test reports, conformity statements where applicable, packing list and assembly information by revision and release stage. Generic brochures do not close product traceability.

Issue the same controlled inputs to every supplier. Keep unknowns open with an owner and due date.

What a usable supplier response returns

The response identifies the exact offered mesh or cage, unit and component quantities, material and coating basis, drawings, packing and document register. It separates confirmations from assumptions, options, exclusions and deviations. Civil, structural, hydraulic, geotechnical and rockfall decisions remain with their responsible project authorities.

Can every quantity be traced to a unit mark?
Are cage and civil-work scopes separated?
Does evidence map to the offered material?
Are assumptions and deviations explicit?
Is packing data controlled by the approved configuration?
