Garden, poultry and small-animal mesh is a routing problem: the target animal or pest, its behaviour, the acceptable opening, bottom interface, supports, terrain and exposure all change the answer.

Begin with what must stay in, what must stay out and the consequence of escape, entry or contact with the mesh. Then define the maximum acceptable opening, height and bottom condition before comparing plastic mesh, light welded wire or a supported livestock roll. A product photo cannot confirm containment, predator resistance, local welfare requirements or suitability for every species.

A smaller opening in the main roll does not resolve a gap at the gate, bottom, corner, roof or repair.
