The required barrier geometry, predicted receiver level, structural design, legal compliance or whether a product passes a tender.
List the tender-stated property and edition in the RFQ, then require the supplier to map an exact report to the offered configuration.

A defensible comparison names the property, method, edition, specimen and boundary.
Sound absorption concerns energy taken up at a surface rather than reflected. Airborne sound insulation concerns sound transmitted through a device under the defined test arrangement. Insertion loss compares sound at a receiver before and after an installed barrier under controlled site conditions. A laboratory rating for one panel build-up does not automatically become a guaranteed dB reduction for a different installed project. Record exactly which quantity the tender requests, then match the supplier document to the same construction and method.

A standard number on a marketing sheet is not enough.
Version control
The EN 1793/1794 landscape changed recently, while tenders and national adoptions can lag.
The series separates laboratory/diffuse-field and direct-field methods, plus reference spectra and added-device diffraction. Confirm the part and edition required by the tender.
Use the current product-standard requirement for the target jurisdiction and tender. Do not turn a generic reference into a CE or conformity statement.
Mechanical/stability and general safety/environmental characteristics are non-acoustic evidence. They cannot be replaced by an acoustic report.
Railway applications use a separate standard family. A road test reference is not automatically railway evidence.
Claim gate
These statements require exact product evidence and a responsible human reviewer.
Any dB reduction, DL value, class, frequency result, predicted receiver level or comparison winner.
CE marking, Declaration of Performance, EN compliance, national approval or authority acceptance.
Any claim that a changed size, core, face, joint, mounting, frame, gate or transparent section keeps the tested result.
Any promise that laboratory data will produce the same result after site gaps, terrain, reflections, workmanship and geometry are introduced.
