Decode 358 and 3510 before comparing.

Current manufacturer examples use the same nominal 76.2 × 12.7 mm tight aperture for both names. A common 358 construction uses 4 mm vertical and horizontal wires; a current 3510 example uses 3 mm core wire, approximately 3.4 mm after coating. These are market examples, not universal definitions, so the quotation must state aperture and every wire diameter in millimetres.

Treat reinforced mesh as supplier-defined.

Reinforced security mesh is not one universal geometry. It may mean heavier vertical wires, additional horizontal wires, profiled stiffening, a second skin or another proprietary construction. Obtain the exact drawing and connection schedule before treating two reinforced offers as equivalent.

Compare the system objective.

A tighter opening may reduce usable hand and footholds, while additional wires or layered construction may change stiffness or cutting effort. Those observations are not security classifications. Use project evidence for the required objective.

Check operational trade-offs.

Compare visibility through the fence, camera sightlines, wind and debris exposure, weight and handling, repair strategy, component availability, gate matching, terrain transitions and inspection access.

Normalize the commercial scope.

Request the same length, height, gate schedule, posts, corners, toppings, finish, foundations or exclusions, spares, packing, installation boundary and evidence. Material-only prices are not equivalent system offers.

Use conditions, not labels, to narrow the field.

A format can be commercially attractive and still be the wrong project system. Keep observed construction differences separate from verified performance.
