Worked example

For equal 4 mm wires at 50 mm pitch in both directions and steel density 7,850 kg/m³, the theoretical mass is about 3.95 kg/m².

Common mistake

Treating theoretical mesh mass as packed shipping weight; frames, edges, coatings, clips, tolerances and packaging are excluded.
